STS Privacy Policy
STS is a parent-guided program for helping families respond gently and consistently to thumb sucking. This policy explains what information the app uses and the choices available to parents and guardians.
Who operates STS
STS is operated by Bairat Labs, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company in the United States. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to bairatlabs@gmail.com.
Information we process
Depending on the version and features you use, STS may process:
- Parent account information: an email address, account identifier, login session information, email verification or account recovery status, and the sign-in method you choose. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, that provider handles its sign-in screen and sends our account service the basic profile information you authorize, such as your email address, name, and provider-specific account identifier.
- Program information: a child nickname, age, thumb-sucking triggers, frequency, awareness, motivation, selected comfort replacement, parent-reported concerns, program start date, completed missions, and logged habit events. The hands-busy studio also stores selected routines, hand activities, agreed reminder signals, trial dates, and parent observations such as helpful, mixed, not a fit, or not tried. The free rehearsal sample does not save a routine trial.
- Purchase information: product, entitlement, transaction, and restoration status supplied by Apple, Google, or our purchase-management provider. We do not receive full payment-card details.
- App and device information: app version, operating system, language, general device type, feature interactions, diagnostics, and crash information when those services are enabled in the version you use.
- Support information: the content of messages you choose to send us and the contact details needed to reply.
STS does not ask for a child's photo, school, street address, precise location, or full legal name. STS does not provide child accounts.
How we use information
We use information to:
- provide and personalize the parent-guided program;
- save progress locally and, when you sign in, synchronize it across supported devices;
- authenticate accounts, verify access, restore purchases, and provide support;
- send reminders you enable on your device;
- protect the service, diagnose failures, and improve reliability; and
- meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
The current coaching content is built from approved program rules. STS does not use your child's program information to train a general-purpose artificial intelligence model. If a future feature needs external AI processing, we will describe that processing before the feature is enabled and update this policy as appropriate.
Local storage, cloud sync, and notifications
Program progress can be stored on the device so core features continue to work without a connection. If you create an account and cloud sync is available, the app sends the program information listed above to our authenticated cloud service. Synchronization uses version checks to reduce accidental overwrites.
Reminders are optional. The device operating system controls notification permission. You can turn reminders off in STS or in device settings.
When information is shared
We do not sell personal information and do not use child program information for interest-based advertising. We may share the minimum information needed with service providers that help us operate STS, such as cloud hosting, account authentication, app-store purchasing, diagnostics, analytics, and customer support providers. Those providers process information for their contracted purpose and under their own applicable terms and privacy commitments.
Google and Apple receive the authentication request when you choose their sign-in option. We do not receive your Google or Apple password. Email sign-in is processed by our account authentication provider.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and synchronized program information while your account is active and only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or meet legal obligations. Backup copies and security records may remain for a limited period before routine deletion or expiration.
You can reset program information from the app. When signed in, program reset also removes the synchronized program state while keeping the parent account. When account deletion is available in the signed-in app, using it deletes the parent account and its synchronized program state. You may also request access, correction, or deletion by emailing bairatlabs@gmail.com. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
Children and parent-directed use
STS is designed for use by parents and legal guardians, not for independent use by children. A parent or guardian enters and manages the program information. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate parental involvement, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Bairat Labs, LLC is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable legal safeguards.
Your choices
- Use core local features without enabling optional notifications.
- Turn notifications off at any time.
- Reset local program data from the app.
- Delete a signed-in account when that control is available.
- Contact us about access, correction, deletion, or another privacy question.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as STS changes. We will post the revised policy here, change the last-updated date, and provide additional notice when required.
